The svclean-svscan program

svclean-svscan runs svscan with svclean's wrappers:

• It moves file descriptor 1 to descriptor 3 and descriptor 2 to descriptor 4.
• It creates a pipe with the reading end on descriptor 5 and the (non-blocking) writing end on descriptors 1 and 2. Output from supervise, loggers, and services without their own loggers will thus be readable on descriptor 5, and will be lost if it is not read.
• It saves $PATH as $SUPERVISE_PATH and sets a new $PATH containing svclean's supervise wrapper.
• It runs the given command.

svclean-svscan is typically invoked by svclean-boot. The services run under this svscan can still be treated just as if svclean were not involved. The wrappers don't interfere unless you explicitly invoke their features.
