The
new-leapsecs command is a Python script that reads
the leap-seconds.list file from time.nist.gov, or
from a file named on the command line, and outputs
a leapsecs.dat file.
The
clockspeed-nonroot patch
prevents clockspeed from installing its own leapsecs.dat file in
/etc. This is useful for installing clockspeed as a non-root
user or when the existing /etc/leapsecs.dat file is more
up-to-date than the one in clockspeed.
